Youth Counselling (Ages 11-17)
We offer 121 Youth Counselling for distressed and vulnerable young people aged 11 to 17 giving them freedom to share worries and concerns while obtaining non-judgmental and impartial support enabling them to address issues early in their life to build a bright future.
Please Note:
Counselling is a confidential service. Counsellors are not able to comment to parents on the progress of a young person.
We offer:
- Young people can have up to 10 counselling sessions on a weekly basis free of charge
- Sessions take place after school on weekdays in Odiham, Fleet, Yateley or online
- Sessions will always be at the same time and place and with the same counsellor each week
- Each counselling session is 50 minutes long
- We accept referrals from young people, their parents (or guardians), schools, GP’s CAMHS and other professionals.
To access this service the young person must:
- Want to have counselling
Counselling cannot be effective if the Young Person does not want to attend; we cannot accept referrals where the young person is not aware that they have been referred.
- Be committed to attending every week
We have an attendance policy which we ask young people to agree to.
- Either live in the Hart District, attend school in the Hart District or be registered with a GP in the Hart District
Unfortunately we currently do not receive funding to provide counselling outside of this area.
- Not receive counselling elsewhere
If a young person is receiving two different types of counselling support this can be confusing for them and hence not as effective.
