Walk & Talk Counselling

Struggling to ‘open up’ in conventional counselling sessions? We understand that there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ and that not everyone feels comfortable talking face2face in a traditional setting.

Our Walk & Talk counselling sessions offer a different approach…

  • Without the pressure of eye to eye contact or confining walls, you’ll feel more at ease
  • Walk side by side with your counsellor, allowing the conversation to flow naturally
  • Being out in nature offers benefits for both your physical and mental well-being

We offer:

  • Up to 10 counselling sessions on a weekly basis free of charge
  • Sessions take place on a Friday in Fleet between 10:00 and 13:00hrs
  • Sessions will always be at the same time and place and with the same counsellor each week
  • Each counselling session is 50 minutes long
  • We accept self-referrals and referrals from GP’s and other professionals

To access this service the individual must:

  • Be aged 18+
  • Want to have counselling. Counselling cannot be effective if the person does not want to attend and we cannot accept referrals where the person is not aware that they have been referred
  • Be committed to attending every week, we have an attendance policy which we ask clients to agree to
  • Either live in the Hart or Rushmoor District OR be registered with a GP located in either District. Unfortunately we do not receive funding to provide counselling outside of this area
  • Not be receiving counselling elsewhere. If a person is receiving two different types of counselling support this can become confusing for them and therefore less effective
