Family Counselling
Our Family Counselling service gives families the chance to express and explore their feelings in a safe and non-judgemental environment. We accept both self-referrals and those from professionals. Family counselling is a collaborative therapeutic process that enables a family to make sense of communications and dynamics that create and maintain problems within the family unit. Your counsellor will work alongside you to identify how each family member can contribute to positive change.
The counsellors in our family counselling service are able to work with:
- Communication difficulties, including conflict
- Relationship ruptures
- Adaptation to change, including life stage change
- Boundary negotiation
- Neurodiverse presentations
- Challenges associated with blending families
They are unable to work with:
- Domestic abuse
- Couples facing relationship difficulties
- Issues that require one to one support
- Issues that require specialist support e.g. eating disorders, addictions or severe trauma

- Families currently going through court proceedings in relation to custody disputes
If you need support with one of the above your counsellor will endeavour to signpost you on to the appropriate service.
