‘Give me a break!’ – Young Carers’ Action Day 2025

Our Hart & Rushmoor Young Carers service is one of many, which provide regular and targeted support to young carers across the UK.

Hart Voluntary Action is marking Young Carers’ Action Day 2025 (12th March) by signing the Young Carers’ Covenant, led by the Carers’ Trust. Individuals and organisations can join us by going to this link to share their commitment to a fair future for all young carers and young adult carers

This year’s Action Day theme is “Give Me a Break”, and that is exactly what we offer young carers living in Hart or Rushmoor through:

• dedicated club sessions for junior, senior and young adult carers (16+)
• special activities for young carers to take part in, like the Cook & Eat programme and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme
• access to sports and other recreational activities during school holidays
• the opportunity to meet other young carers at the annual Young Carers Festival

We are working with around 150 young carers at any one time aged 7 years upwards.  More detail at this link.
