Mental Health Awareness Day – 14 April – Fleet

Hart Voluntary Action is working in partnership with the Rotary Club of Hart to put on a Mental Health Awareness Event at the Harlington, 236 Fleet Rd, Fleet GU51 4BY, on the afternoon of 14 April (12.00-18.00). This event is particularly focusing on support for young adults aged 17-30 years.

Who will be there?

Rotary Club of Hart, Hart Voluntary Action (Counselling Services, Hart’s Community Garden, Hart & Rushmoor Young Carers), Fleet Primary Care Network, NHS Talking Therapies – Talkplus, Therapeutic Horsemanship Centre, Inclusion Education, Samaritans, Sasha’s Project, Everyone Active, Sport in Mind, Andover Mind, Hart Counselling CIC, Citizens Advice Hart, Hart District Council, Smoke Free Hampshire, NT Coaching, The Headroom Young People’s Charity and Farnborough 6th Form College.

For employers and employees, and people looking to get into work, we will be joined by Connect to Work Hampshire and SEEDL which provides online training for businesses, organisations and local residents in Hart District.

Headline Speaker

Robin Ince – award winning Comedian, broadcaster, presenter and author and, until recently the co-host of the ‘Infinite Monkey Cage’ on BBC Radio 4 – will provide a keynote and welcome speech for all at 1pm. This will take place from the stage in the Auditorium and will last for approximately 45 minutes including questions. Following which, he will then sign copies of his recent book ‘Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal’ a powerful, personal experience of anxiety, ADHD and neurodivergence.
